Through out the year, I have been working with the Chairman of the ERA Smart Solutions Conference, Tom Griffin, on promoting the upcoming 2016 conference. As part of their objectives, they want to make everyone aware that the ERA Association is not a “Good ‘Ol Boys Club” anymore and really put a push on the fresh and creative minds of the next generation. That being said, we have had a wonderful time creating videos and other promotional content to spread the word for people to register for this cool new event.
Here is the latest video we produced for the event… funny stuff if you have been following the Shia LaBeouf “Just Do It” video spin offs.
Do you blog for New Business or are you still making cold calls?
Stop hunting for new business the old fashioned way, become the bait to attract new business.
Over the years, traditional advertising and marketing methods such as trade magazines, shows and conferences, direct marketing, press releases, catalogs, broadcast media, etc. has always been the primary source of lead generation.
Well, I’m sure you have seen your “In-Bound Lead Activity” dramatically dropped off over the years. If you are like most, you are probably scratching your head and asking your-self “why?”

Podcasting was first known as “audioblogging” and started way back in the 1980s. Today there are more than 115,000 english-language podcasts available on the internet, and dozens of websites available for distribution at little or no cost to the producer or listener.
As you put your marketing strategy in place for your Consulting firm, you should have your blog as a central component to your social media strategy for getting new business.
It is the site that you want to bring your prospective clients to, the gateway and face of your Consulting Firm.
“Build it and they will come,” is not the answer to generate traffic to your consulting firm’s blog. You must employ proactive tactics to create awareness and interest among prospective clients. The more traffic that you can generate, from among your target audience, the more inbound new business leads will follow.
As a consultant, LinkedIn should be one of your greatest marketing assets. Here are a few LinkedIn Marketing Tips for Consultants that I have outlined to help you get engaged with all of the wonderful people on LinkedIn… your prospects!
A lot of consultants set up a LinkedIn account but many do not actually use it to its full potential.
I hope this post will give you a little more insight as to how you can use this wonderful business development tool. As with all social marketing tools, sharing valuable content consistently will help you add value to your followers.
A few steps you should take with your LinkedIn marketing program;
Consultants, ask your-self this question: How do I really know what my clients needs are?
If you were truly honest with yourself you probably said “I don’t really know what their needs are.”
A lot of consultants are flying in the dark when it comes to understanding the needs and desires of their clients. They may conduct some informal surveys or get a report from some association or trade magazines and they think that they have good “Intel” to make sound decisions about the types of services they should offer. Worse yet, they have a GUT FEELING about what services they should offer. It’s no wonder why a lot of consultants struggle with getting new business and their marketing efforts. You can’t sell people what they don’t want or need… It’s that simple. You need to stop guessing and start engaging!
Regardless of the particular web brand you want to promote, site retargeting offers rich potential that will change the way you see online marketing. Have you ever dreamt of somehow following up with the people who visit your site?
That’s what site retargeting is all about! It works like this:
We place a pixel (code) on one or more pages on your website
The pixel monitors the behavior of the visitor, and analyze what they are interested in
When the web surfer leaves your site, we use awesome and compelling ad creative to reintroduce and keep your offer in front of your visitor to get them back to your site
The web surfer returns to your landing page, where he or she can be converted into a paying customer
You’re Half Way There
Since the web surfer has already visited your site, you’re already in their head… top of mind awareness based on their already existing needs and interests. They just need a little nudge, and a reminder that you’re the best. Research proves that people respond best to companies that constantly show up in a well done ad creative.
