A Few Reasons Why Business Coaches Fail

Coaching Steps

There are many reasons why a person might fail as a coach and we really don’t want to focus on the negative, but it is always a good idea to make sure we look at our business and actions realistically and make sure we are always trying to improve our situations and strive for every edge of success we can get.

Here are a few areas for us to look at to help you improve;

Marketing A Family Business: Sometimes You Need To Be A Little Crazy

Marketing A Family Business: Sometimes You Need To Be A Little Crazy

You’re called CRAZY if you are poor, ECCENTRIC if you’re wealthy, but they call you BRILLIANT when you’ve done something that no one else has- and succeeded.

Norm Is Eccentric

This is a photo of me as “The Mad Hatter”

Have you done anything that has caused people to call you crazy? If you are an owner of a family business… an entrepreneur then I’m sure you have heard this phrase a time or two. Take it as a compliment – I do.  People are afraid to take risks and try new things. We always get caught up in our comfort zones and don’t want to change… why ruin a good thing right?  No.  Not right. As the saying goes – “Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained”.

As an owner of a family business, you should thrive on change. You need to be innovative and explore new ways to differentiate yourself… to be unique.  Family business owners need to push the envelope and demand that everyone on their team does the same – Do you think Steve Jobs was this kinda crazy?  I think everyone would agree that he was and he wanted everyone on his team to be a little crazy as well. :-)

Chick-fil-a: What an Impressive Family Owned Business

Chick-fil-a-LogoWhat an impressive company. True story: Still sitting in the parking lot as I type this. I go to Chick-fil-a all the time and always use my credit card. Well today I got to the check out window and they tell me their credit card system is down and not working. I never have cash on me… They said its on them! When they have any issue on their end, they still take care of the customers! They have been giving it away all during lunch.
Now that truly reflects their great brand!
